    Default Short Pond visit

I visited the town pond this morning for about an hour and half .
I headed home early because of too much wind , too many people , geese , and algae. But the biggest reason was the issues I was having with reel I put on my backup 6’ 3” Abu Garcia Mass Beat rod .
Not 100% sure it was just the reel , a KastKing Zephyr Finesse SFS reel . The wind had some fault in the tangles I experienced.
But I’ve fished in the wind with my Daiwa reels and haven’t experienced the amount of tangles I did today .
This reel will go back into the reel box and will be replaced with a Daiwa Fuego LT 1000d . It’s already been ordered . As Gene calls them Fay-goes .
The fishing was slow. Because of the wind and the beginning algae growth in the pond , I had to resort to jig and bobber fishing .
I hooked four fish , landed two, a small bass , and a decent bluegill.

Worth getting out of the house for. I’m still looking into a shallow spool reel, one day……..
