Sorry to hear about the set back. Sounds like you are making a good decision about the boat. Either way, you will have fun. The guides should be able to get you on some fish!

Of course this was really a post about what I thought was a cool license plate. I ain’t giving up on nothing. Where I’m at now just happens to be world class trout fishing. Arkansas has great fishing all over. But I am not really wanting to do the long drives anymore. I appreciate all the info and if I get a wild hair I might make the drive just to see what those spots are like. So far I have located several spots relatively close…meaning around a 30 minute drive. Have come to the conclusion that I will in all likelihood not get another boat. What I would spend for the boat will pay for a ton of half day guide trips. And that is figuring using professional guides….have already run into a number of part time guides out here who are much less expensive than the full time guides. Would have already been fishing but had a setback with some skin cancer surgery. It seems they took stitches out too soon. So it split open and had to have it all sewn up again. Of course to do that they had to cut away the old and get into new flesh. To say I was mad is an understatement. But at age 72 I’m not too concerned about a scar across the side of my face. Just kind of put my endeavors on hold for another 3 weeks. Hope to be posting fish pics soon.
Regards
