Nice! I love my Legalis 1000. Real nice for the money, and smooth.

Gave it a workout yesterday. Was after crappie but caught 3 stripers up to 8-9 lbs. Great fight in the cold water, drag on the reel got a workout, smooth as butter.

Great report, and as said it is a real nice reel. Good price too.

I’ve got Deepfry looking for a shallow spool revros for me, it will be my first shallow spool. I have a few Regals that are way up on my like list but was shocked to see a price of near $200 for a shallow spool version. The drag on them is excellent and the weight is low. The legalis is hard to turn away from at the $70 price point.

Digitaka has the shallow spool Revros LT 1000s for $63.69 plus tax and the Legalis LT 1000s shallow spool for $83.18 plus tax .
There’s usually a few dollars difference when the exchange rate is finalized when buying through PayPal.
Unless you just want a shallow spool version .
A couple others to look at would be the Exceler LT 1000d @ $73.50 , and the Daiwa Fuego LT 1000d @ $99.97 , both at Amazon.
Both deep spools versions , but they both have a screw in machined handle that takes a lot of play out of the handle and they have more bearings.
The newer Blue Legalis LT1000d is $69.99 but has the through shaft type handle like the Revros LT1000s and the gold accented Legalis Lt1000s.
I own all of the above and the smoothest out of the bunch is the Fuego LT .

I wish I could find the shallow spool versions of the Fuego LT at a less than $100 , I’d buy two of them today .
    Just my two cents .
