    Default Variations in panfish

I’m always looking out for different variations in the panfish I catch .
Some are hybrids . Some are a different variety all together.
I caught this little fellow out of the creek today .
It was its shape that caught my attention.
A little more rounded than most except for the spotted sunfish , but this one doesn’t have the spots .
    Most likely a bluegill/spotted sunfish mix .
I caught five little gills out of the old mill creek .
All caught on 1/32 Daredevle spoons .
Wished I’d been fishing with my Daiwa Iprimi today , the gills ran small and I’m sure it would have been a little more fun .
    I was using my Daiwa Procyon UL’ s , a 5’6” and my 6’1” .
    The 5’6” felt better , the 6’1” felt a little stiff .

Lots of cross breeding on my little creek. It’s tough to believe there wouldn’t be when you see them packed in on the beds.
