Default Competition at the creek this afternoon

Got a late start today .
Didn’t make it to the creek until just after two.
I looked upstream while casting my 6’6’ 2wt Grimlin flyrod and noticed Mr Blue was fishing the creek today .
He had the advantage of being able to cover the middle of the upper end of the creek . But I never saw him connect .
I looked up a few minutes later and he was gone .
The creek was low . I could see the logs on the bottom where the shoal bass wrapped me up the other day .
Fishing was tough . In two hours I caught nine , most were redbreast. A couple small bluegills and one unexpected green sunfish. The first greenie I’ve caught out of the creek .
The biggest was caught first on a rubber legged dragon.
I kept having to change flies to get bites . Best fly was a size 12 generic mosquito I tied with a grizzly hackle tail , gray chenille body and grizzly hackle palmered up front .
There’s not as much shade in the afternoon at the creek , but an occasional breeze made it tolerable.
Hope you enjoy the pics .

Some pretty markings on those. Glad you’re having fun with em.
I had a stay at the hospital this week, gallbladder raised its ugly head. Long story. But I did think of your posts that are new most every day that I was missing. Just now catching up.

Those gallbladders can be a problem.
Had mine taken out during a trip to the ER a few years back . Had pain I never had felt before . They gave me so much morphine waiting for the surgery it made me throw up . Didn’t touch the pain . Thought I was a goner .
Doc said it was a day or two of becoming gangrenous .
Hope yours wasn’t as painful and you get relief soon .
