Two micros from this morning. Caught from different locations.
A tiny redbreast from the creek and a green sunfish from a water reservoir.
    Both beautifully colored.

Buddy of mine was fly fishing with a 7 WT in his pond and had a micro bream on. It ran over by a submerged log and got devoured by an 8+/- pound bass. After a bit of a tussle, my buddy got the bass up closer to the boat, but it came off, though the bream was still hooked.

I’ve had that happen several times .
One time I was able to land the bass , it was around five pounds .
Another time my fishing buddy caught a seven pounder that way , but using ultralight spinning and a beetlespin.
A week later at the same lake and same cove I hooked a pound size crappie that took a 1/80 micro jig . I had the bass on for several minutes , came out of the water twice , so we got a good look at it .
At the side of the boat , I thought she was worn out enough to try and lip , but she dove under the boat and broke off on the rear trolling motor .
My buddy looked at me and said , “ that bass was twice the size of the one I caught last week “ And I think it was . Was definitely a double digit bass on four pound test and a 7’ UL rod .
When you fish for panfish a lot , this will happen.

I only managed to catch five gills this morning.
All were pretty small , but not as small as this one .
