Default Picking a Favorite (s) while chasing Green Sunfish

Met up with my fishing buddy around 9:30 this morning at our number one boat ramp for catching green sunfish .
I took five one and two weight flyrods to try to determine if I had a favorite.
I had all five tied with a different fly , so instead of changing flies if one didn’t work , I’d walk to the car and change rods .
We can usually park within fifty yards of where we fish .
I fish four of the rods and narrowed it down to two , the 5’9” one weight Butterstick, and the 6’ St Croix Mojo Trout .
    The other two I used was a 6’ SC 2wt Imperial and a 6’ TFO Signature 2wt .
There’s nothing wrong with these two , I just like casting the other two . Could be the line on those two . I may swap lines and try them .
The one I didn’t get a chance to use was a 6’3” 1/2wt Aventik. Maybe next trip .
I ended up catching 37 fish total with 21 of those being green sunfish. I also caught five small bass and two spotted sunfish. The rest we’re bluegills.
My buddy caught 25 total .
A fun morning catching small panfish.
I picked out some of the more colorful catches to share .
I think the first green sunfish is still on bed , looks full of eggs .

Thanks, I love the colors on all of the different panfish.
One of these days I’d like to take a trip to south Florida and fish the canals and creeks for the exotics that have been released and have taken over down there .

I agree, very nice colors on those. Glad you and your bud found enough to keep your interest. I didn’t have the energy to go, maybe tomorrow.
