    Default Sunday morning double

After running into crowd’s yesterday at two of my favorite spots , I decided to hit the town pond even I I keep saying I’m not going back until cool weather because of the water conditions.
This morning the line green slime was back , yuck . The water looked stagnant, especially on the shaded dam side .
After catch a small gill , I decided to brave the sunny side and see if the water was any better .
It was a little better and I timed it just as a cloud blocked a lot of the sun .
I caught three including two nice ones that put a heck of a bend in my 6’6” 2wt Gremlin Matrix rod .
Then the sun came back out and this old guy had to change locations.
I drove twelve minutes to a water reservoir that has the huge dock but mostly small gills .
The water there , although clear was about two feet low .
We haven’t had any rain lately in my area . It rains all around us but somehow the showers Judy go around us .
I caught eleven small gills in about forty minutes and called it a morning .
The two nice ones from the town pond . They were freaks compared to what I’ve been catching lately. Over nine inches .

Some nice gills, especially the big ones. Those had to be fun on the buggy whip.
