Have heard several on this site say that certain times it is better without a spinner blade and just use a plain jig . Is it after the early spawns ? Reason I ask I seem to do better with a bladed bait 1/32 or smaller year round . Curious about the rest of bream guys on here .

Never use a blade. Catch plenty of fish.
I think most people use blades 'cause Beetle Spins are popular, and they come with a blade. People think you gotta use the blade 'cause it comes in the package. LOL
Use whatever you have confidence in .
Personally, if I’m going to use a blade , it’ll be a Beetlespin type lure or throw a Roostertail . I’ve never had much luck with jigs with blades on them .
Right now , I’m having better luck with my bugwand than I was having with my UL spinning gear . I’m about 50/50 on handties vs plastic when I use spinning gear .

I usually have one of both, just incase, never know.
My favorite is to throw a light jig either hand tie or plastic, I frequently throw a beetle spin or single hook rooster tail cuz they’re more weedless than trebles where I fish. I generally carry four or five rods in the boat and one always has a blade bait. I sometimes use the plastics to find the color they’re after then switch to a hand tie for durability. Two pound line let’s me throw real small baits.
Creativity is just intelligence fooling around
I use 1/32 Road Runners with various bodies . Most used is a Slider 1 inch black grub . Perfect pearl go-go- minnow from Fle-Fly would be second , Third would be a trout Magnet . The blade seems to help run baits at a proper depth .
