entertainment is the word , there is about just about anything the heart desires in that area , we did the butterfly palace one day and it was pretty darn nifty feeding them , then of course silver dollar city ( AND DO NOT ride the time traveler ) I thought I might have issues until I got on that thing and after that I ain't sure about much other than it scared me and everyone else that rode it just a bit past literally shaking like a leaf when you stepped off it !
white water one day and most of it isn't cheap , but for a family it is just a great spot to hang around for a few days ....good stuff

Glad you had a great family trip! None of these places are cheap, but it’s vacation and time to enjoy some days off. Is that a long trip for you by car?

probably depends on how often you stop , lol , 6.5 to 7.5 hours give or take , not terrible and rather scenic in lots of spots , the ozark mountain area has a few real nice views

Those trout are easy and fun to catch when there’s nothing else. Also about impossible to hold when removing a hook.

there are 2 ways to hold them , one is after they are dead and the other is with a hand towel firmly around the middle of their torso .
all the trout species I have encountered in my travels just NEVER quit until they are done for good .
Salmon were actually dangerous in Alaska , we had a heck of a time holding a sockeye down to try to get the hook out of the buds finger that was thru the fish's lip and buried in his thumb ! I warned him when he reached down about the complete lack of respect these fish have for other creatures and it was losing its mind when he beached it and I thought right off it might not end well.
sure enough I looked away as he wrestled with it and a few seconds later he said "hey bud can you help me please " turned back around and he was holding it down and looking pretty frightened ....more so than the fish without much doubt I might add
