Very nice colors on that one. I too like the highlights on the fin edges. Our Warmouth and their cousins get some bright fluorescent spots on their sides, I guess during the spawn, that always catch my eye. We have nothing that’s colored up like that, beautiful!

I once hiked a very long way to a really remote tiny little spring fed water hole in the middle of nowhere on some corp land below a big lake . I found it hunting rabbits in the winter and thought I saw fish in it at that time .
sure, enough when I arrived that summer it was flat out full of pure green sunfish that had the orange highlites on the dorsal , anal and tail fins and not like any I had ever seen before , much like this fish in the image here , but WAY more bold , looked like they were painted with hunter safety orange , you could see them from a half mile off when you approached that little clear water pond .
dont see many with as much orange on its fins as the one in this image anymore , funny thing about that fish is that we never ketch any greens in that spot and then my mind wanders and wonders if it was a green cross in the first place .
