The crappie are light pecking right now in my neck of the woods. Next time out I want to bring my most sensitive U/L rod and see if I can detect them a little better.

They sure make a great meal. Also give a purty good tussle after hooking.

Hot weather slowing them down
The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along
When they get tough, I downsize. Once I figure out what they are I decide to play or not. Found some fish once on my graph, deep down, and was sure they were crappie. Might have been some down there but after catfish number nine I moved on. Never know if ya don’t throw.
Ketchn has downsized. Looks like 1/64 heads or he has Monster sized hands. Anyway fix'n to work on the Real panfish myself. The goggle-eye spawn here in July - August, I catch ones you can put a Marlboro box in their mouth. I was just pouring 1/32's but paused for some Apple Crown. Thanks for posting Ketchn, I feel like I'm on the right track.

Any ketchin is good. Better than no ketchin. I’m getting closer my self to being able to try some ketchin
