    Default We Ketch fish program

Was part of my father's day yesterday , now did we hammer at all 5 different ponds and lakes we hit as we traveled the country side you might ask ? Not exactly but to be sure a few of the spots were ridiculous good , some not so much , really low water levels are making it tough in a few locations to get to the fish from the bank , the weed lines are so far out from the bank it just ain't fun to try to hit them .
We did not keep fish and we did ketch all kinds , lost a few of the real large whatever fish they were and my wife's big bass broke off when silly me tried to "lift" it out of the water by the line ...AND,,,yes I got a lecture and a mean eyed look , in case ya wondered
We was mostly targeting bream aka sunfish and they cooperated really well in a few spots .
she used night crawler pcs on a 1/32 number 8 and a long lil jewel BnM fiberglass 10 foot wimpy stick with no float and I used a just as wimpy ultra lite Shake my spear 5 footer .
6 lb test all around and I opted for handties and crappie nibbles with a float .
here are a few images of said fish tale .....
    KABOOM is the word btw

Most spots we hit looked to be around 4 to 5 foot low, we saw several decent size stock ponds that were totally DRY yesterday!

That's not good. Cost a lot of money to water stock in this heat

Good looking fish and what fun on that wimpy 10 foot pole. Water levels are starting to fall here a little as well from power generation needs due to the heat.

It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!
