Default Leland panfish and trout combo

I was in Dicks Sporting Goods today and saw this. I realize the rod is most likely fiberglass and the reel has a little hitch before it stops going backwards. But I'm fixing to spool this sucker up with some hivis #2 and get that thing bent on some gills tomorrow. For 22$ it will make a great backup to the backup. And its a little more backbone than my other UL's so i think it'll shoot a jig nicely under docks. More news to come.Name: Screenshot_20220528-194054_Chrome.jpg

Can't go wrong with that setup for $22. Even has a cork handle

Good find. It’s not the Leland TCB but if it fishes like the TCB it’s tough to go wrong at $22!

I wouldn't say it was in the ball park with the TCB but it hung in there for sure. I used it fish a slip cork in anything less than 5 fow anything deeper than and it was tough to cast with the bobber stop smacking the eye. I relied on 2# braid finesse style anything deeper. Over all we hand picked maybe 20 out of 70 or 80 fish total. Pictures coming when we get off this choppy Wilson Lake.

Picture of my partner driving. We been fishing dang near 40 years. I give him the helm when he goes and it gives me a chance to relaxName: 20220529_185658.jpg

We are the blue dot. The color squares are bedding areas I've found over the years. Name: Screenshot_20220529-190205_Fishing%20Points.jpg

I struggle to find the crappie variety here. Lots of gravel and muscle beds here.
