Nice. We do not have redbreast sunfish here, they are pretty.
I visited the dock at a local reservoir again this evening.
The water is about four feet low .
I took my new Daiwa Tatula Lt 2000 and a five foot 13 Fishing ULF spinning rod loaded with SOS 2# .
Love the Tatula . Butter smooth . I wish I’d gotten the shallow spool version from Japan , but I bought this partially with points I’d earned on my credit card . The new rod seemed a little stiff when casting , but felt great with a fish on it , even the little ones I was catching .
I think a 1/32 jig would tame that rod and give me the distance I needed today . But 1/64 jigs were the biggest I had with me .
I caught five in the hour and a half I fished , including a redbreast . Something I’ve not caught in awhile . Pretty fish .
These are small fish I’ve been catching but it’s a good sign that the lake is rebounding after the county started requiring out of county residents to purchase an annual permit.
