Default Well , the front arrived.

We had a cold front come through last night and this morning.
Temps got down into the low fifties and the wind got strong and gusty . 10-20mph
I had plans on taking the TFO T&P 6’6” UL out for a couple hours , so around 11 this morning, I saw a little sun peek through and took off to the pond .
I paired the TFO with my Daiwa Revros 1000S loaded with my favorite line , 2# P-line.
The rest of my Bobby Garland Itty Bitty Slab Hunter arrived in the mail this morning, so I now have an assortment of different colors .
Turns out I needed them .
I started off with Junebug with chartreuse tail and caught a small gill and a 10-11” LM but it took awhile to get those two.
I think the cooler temps turned the fish off .
I tried several other colors without any luck , with and without a jig spinner . Nothing .
It was getting close to leaving time and I went to a Cajun Cricket with a 1/32 black jighead.
In the last ten minutes, I caught another gill and another LM . The LM came on my called , last cast .
Not the greatest day fishing , especially fighting a cold (to me ) wind . But it beats setting home watching TV .

I’m thinking of taking the 6’ TFO next trip .
That or my 5’6” Daiwa Procyon.
When checking out my rods , those were the two that caught my eye and cried out “ take me next “
Going with a 500 size reel . When using a 1/32 jighead, I don’t think distance is going to suffer much .

A TFO is in my future. Then probably some JDM rods. I got to watching some of the Japanese fisherman fishing in the mountains. Like everything they do. They take their fishing gear to the next level

I think you’re right using a 1/32. That should be a nicely balanced combo.
