    right amongst the target species and go figure this part out .....
    winter water bluegill only 3 foot down in 12 foot of water ! ?
    no clue why , never saw a sign of any bait up on top .
    but none the less 2 bluegill JUST HAD TO BITE MY CRAPPIE JIG !
    pesky critters for sure ......
    but in the end it is best for all involved to leave my jig alone
    lest you wanna get ketched ....

    Not bad color on the second. First was kind of washed out. Had on its winter coat I guess. Nice you caught something!

    I like them distractions. They’re kinda cute, even if they aren’t what you’re hunting. I like em over about 8” when they start to fight pretty good.

    all 28 fish got to swim on that visit , but to be sure next time it is likely to be not such a good day for the fish , just saying

    My preferred as well. I love the fight of a Gill, and on the U/L rods are a blast, especially when they decide to circle around the wagon sideways! Feel like a 5 lber!
