Default The Skunk is alive and well

The Skunk has reared his ugly stinking head at my favorite fishing hole . The local Town pond .
The sub freezing night temps have turned off the bite .
I went yesterday evening, sunny and 51 degrees air temp. Had two light bites , tail nippers . That was it .
This morning I fished for an hour around noon sunny and 54 degrees air temp and nothing .
I thought the sun would have warmed the water enough to get them active .
So, I came home and after lunch I’m going back for an hour or so .
If I meet the skunk this evening, then I’ve either sore lipped them all or somebody snuck in last week and wiped out the nice gills I was catching .
Maybe , too many track walkers saw me catching them and told the wrong person .

Sorry to hear about your "Skunk". I'm sure you will shed his presence soon. I had to crawl under my house last night after our resident skunk left to go on his rounds. I blocked up his entrance with bricks and i will fill with concrete this weekend. Had to make sure no one was home before I blocked egress 'cause you know how sad that would have been with a dead skunk under the house.
Wife would not think that was funny!

I sure Don't like fooling with those critters. Trapped 2 at the chicken coop. No fun to get them put of the traps
The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along
