Thread: New bluegill lures.

I like the looks of them but I see me donating them at a rapid pace with all the junk in the water here. Good write up on them Randy, thank you. You e become my instructor on new little tackle.

These looks interesting.

What size hook are they and would you still tip them with something like a crappie nibble?

These come with a #8 hook. According to reports out of the UK they are catching a lot of tout…Zander….or what we call walleye with these along with the salt water fish. I’m sure I’ll try it both ways…..bare hook and tipping with a tiny piece of Power Wiggler.

My lures arrived today. My info on hook size was wrong. These hooks are a #10 or maybe even an #11. Here is pic of a 1.5 gram and 2 gram next to a 1.5 gram Daiwa Gekkabijin #10 jig head. While the lure is made in China the hooks are made in Japan. The hook will bite you in a heart beat. I really like the looks of these. I like the looks of them so much I ordered some more in 3 and 5 grams. The hook size is the same on all sizes. I can see now why folks in Europe are using these to catch trout. Probably won’t get to try these out for next two weeks due to the crappy weather forecast for Mid TN.

I like the looks of those, great size for the gills and maybe trout as well. Hope you can get a video of them in use, interested to see how and what you fish them on. That Varivas Braid should bury that sharp hook home at any depths!

Yeah can’t wait to use them. Once I saw they had the small hook I knew I had to have some in the 3 and 5 gram. I’m thinking the Infinity is so thin I can fish these in 30 feet of water with no problems. I’ll try them out with the Lemoni Ester also.

Randy, thanks for the picture. It helps understand the proportions. Those would be a great size for ice fishing!
