    Anymore I've been using perch colored lures. With a Spike-It color marker I add chartreuse, orange and black and use black flakes in the plastic I pour.
    A few examples in the photos above and this one:


    It's not that I think fish recognize the color combination. I just like it!

    I had an outstanding day Wednesday with water temps higher than air temps. Lots crappies, gills, bass, and perch. And a monster hybrid striper too.

    That is a good price. Shady Brook is the brand our local store uses for giveaways. The going price is usually about $.99 a lb.
