    Default Hellgramite!

Got to slip away from work Yesterday and get in some fishing time on the Duck River in middle Tennessee. Tried a Bass Pro Shop 3" Hellgramite fished on an Arkie 1/16 oz. mushroom head. Leaves on the water were a huge problem but where I could cast to rocky banks I found some willing Spotted Bass. I wanted to show two different 14" Spots. One that just left the "All you can eat buffet" and one that didn't. It must have been the fattest little dude ever!

after viewing these pictures the skinnier one may be a Largemouth. I was having too much fun to notice at the time. Caught seven in the afternoon.

I got rid of the skunk in the boat shortly after launching. I was having luck a couple weeks back with a small Rapala sinking Shad Rap 1-1/2" long but the fish I was catching were small. I bought the next size up Shad Rap and gave it a try. Caught a hungry Bluegill right away but that was the last hit on the Rap. Luckily I slowed down the presentation with the Ned Rigged Hellgramite and had success. The water temp was 53 deg.
