Very nice !
I got to fish my two new St Croix Rods today .
And it was the my first outing where I gave 1” Gulp minnows a fair try .
First up was my 6’ SC Panfish rod with a Shimano Sahara 500 reel spooked with 2# Moss green P-line .
Without much wind to contend with I got a good idea of how these rods are going to perform. First cast with a 1/64 jighead and Gulp minnow went about 50-60 feet . I can live with that .
I was curious how the other SC rod was going to do with the same lure .
The 5’10” SC Light action fast didn’t disappoint. Paired with a 1000 Shimano Stradic, spooled with SOS 2# line .
I was casting out , letting the lure fall to the bottom, and would twitch , fall, twitch it back in .
I got to fish about 4 hours and caught seven gills of various sizes . Most were redbreast.
All were a lot of fun on the new SC rods .
A beautiful day to be fishing, sunny , light breeze and low 70’s . Great weather for mid November.
I was impressed with the Gulp minnows too. My brother and another friend were fishing with me and they didn’t catch a fish . I offered them a Gulp minnow, but neither were really setup to fish the properly .
Handle looks different from previous models.
Can we see a pic of just the handle?
Nice catches

Here’s the best one I have from the ones I took today .
The handles are different. I didn’t like them at first , but they’re growing on me.
I wished they would have put a regular Fuji and cork handle on them .
They do telegraph even the slightest nibbles pretty good .
