Fenwick makes some great rods
Glad you got out and found a couple for your trouble. I also have a Fenwick like yours and like it a lot. It handles a surprise fish well too.

How large is this body of water that your fishing? Some waters can handle constant harvesting but it seems it may be time to bring creel limits and slot limits into conversation with the wildlife management in your area.
On an unrelated topic. Are you the same Gillchaser from Tinboats??
First , no I’m not on Tinboats ,
The lake is approximately 240 acres . Not a small pond , but definitely not a big lake .
On days where there’s four or five or more boats on it , it seems even smaller .
I’ve spent many a weekday on it years ago where I was the only boat on the lake , the last few times I’ve been there , theres been five or six boats on it . And this is during the week . On weekends I’ve driven by the parking lot and it’s been nearly full .
Is this a different lake from back when you used to catch some really good ones. And invited us to come down and fish with you. I would like to return the favor. You're more than welcome to come up and fish with me or I'll come down and take a look around that lake and see if we can find if they're just hiding. Maybe they are.

240 acres is a good sized fishing lake, but something that size need serious management to keep a healthy fish population. I hate to hear that it is being fished so carelessly. I am all for a well earned fish supper, but it would be a shame to see a good body of water die from over harvesting.
It is funny you are not the same guy. The name there is actually Gillhunter, I was mistaken, but my curiosity was piqued when you both had Alumacraft boats and lived in GA. I just thought I would ask.
