    Default Favorite Rods??

I am referring to the brand, not personal favorites, although I am open to thoughts and opinions on personal favorites as well.

Through a very unfortunate set of circumstances my rod collection is now down by 2. The two victims actually made up 50% of my standard "go to" set of 4 rigs. They were a St Croix Panfish UL and a Bass Pro Panfish Elite. I liked both enough that if I replaced them with the same models of each I would be very happy, but as fishermen, we can't pass on an opportunity to upgrade. This leads to my question.

Does anyone here have any experience with Favorite rods?

This is the one I am interested in
Yampa River Spinning Rod – Favorite Fishing (favoriteusa.com)

Any thoughts and opinions are welcome, as well as input on other brands. Thank you all in advance.

I’m a fan of St Croix and some Daiwa rods .
I took a look at the Yampa River rods website . Not sure what your fishing intentions are . Looks like their rods are rated slow action and would work great for trout .
If you liked your SC Panfish rod , I don’t think you’d be happy with a Favorite rod , unless you were targeting trout specifically.
I just picked up a 5’6” Fenwick Eagle 2 in ultralight that they list as a moderate action . To me it’s more of a moderate fast and a nice little rod for $60 . I also own a Fenwick River Tech 5’8” UL that gets into the rotation occasionally.
I don’t own any JDM rods , they’re a little out of my price limit as are some of St Croix rods .
I meant to add , if trout are your target fish . St Croix Premier and Avid rods are a little slower action than the Panfish and Trout Series rods and would make better stream rods especially the 5’6” models .

Never heard of Favorite but, at that price, you could get another SC Panfish rod. For a little more, you could get an SC Avid.

I have the SC Panfish Series. I also have a Major craft Finetail Area rod. Personally, I like the Finetail alot more. I would definitely recommend looking at Finetail. Mine is the FAX-632SUL. Several others on the forum also own it I believe.
