I've had two of the Piscifun Carbon-X 1000 reels for almost two years. Caught a lot of fish with them (probably close to 1000), including 15-20 bass, some up to 4 pounds. Never had any trouble with either. Put a shallow spool on one, since they sold them for 13 dollars. Took one apart after a year to see what was inside and do a clean and lube. It runs even smoother now than it did before. It's every bit as smooth and low inertia winding as the Diawa reels I have in the same price class. And the screw in handle is superior to the Diawa through gear type handle. Looks like they are currently selling for $70. And I see they offer a 500 size now too. I was initially interested because of the 5.7 oz weight and some of the other features. Maybe I'll post pics of the tear down one of these days.

Thank you. The website seemed pretty decent. They had a 20% off deal, so I ordered a 1000 with a small spool and a 500 as well. Hope they hold up like yours!!

I noticed the one bearing in the line roller tends to collect some dirt. Would be good clean it more often and maybe use some hydrophobic oil.

Thanks, I’ll watch for that. I have some Varivas PE and Floro lines I want to test out. Thought it would be easy to just swap spools.
