    Bobber and fly (or soft baits) are real hard to beat. Deadly and inexpensive. And yes, a chunky little guy!

    Beautiful gill. I enjoy catching them on my hand ties. I tied some 1/80 oz hair last spring.

    Nice going, I need to break out the fly rod for a while. The Gills seem to have gotten a case of lockjaw...

    I noticed that myself lately . Seems like they’ve left the shallow water . I haven’t picked up much on the depth-finder either .
    I’ve always picked up a few in the shallows , even in winter .
