    Default Little, Little, BIG

Went out on a local pond in a Jon boat this evening. Was getting tons of bites and catches of small bluegills. These little guys were very aggressive and didn't put much of a bend in the rod.

I found a large mostly submerged branch that must have washed out into deeper water in a recent storm. Pitched the 1/32 Jig head with a EPF swim on it near the branch. Bang! The drag started to sing and the rod bent. Got 'em near the boat and he dove under it like a bass! Great fun.

Pulled some more off the branch before nightfall ended the trip.

Can't wait to go back. This pond is always excellent in September and October.

Sounds like some prime candidates for your U/L gear FFW! I’m waiting for the water to drop a little more after Ida to get out and chase a few!

Those would get me interested too. I haven’t found any on my last few trips, river running and moving too much water. I’ll be patient a while longer and hope I can find some like you did.

Salt water has kept me busy, have a look in the FL forum. Enjoy, I did.

Getting into the 50s for the first time in many months on this end of the state. Better fishing on the way!
