I recently picked up the St. Croix Panfish Series rod and I've gotta say that I'm very impressed with it for a $100 rod. On this day it was only my second time using it and it casted these light jigs well and was a pleasure to fish with. The fish themselves seemed to love the Eurotackle Anisoptera. I posted about this lure before and it has quickly become my favorite for larger sized panfish. Little 4-6 inch bluegill are going to have a hard time eating it, but those larger 8-9 inch ones can't resist it. That doesn't even mention how much these cichlids and largemouths down here love it. Highly recommend you guys give it a shot if you haven't already. Anyway, hope you enjoy the video.

Author, thanks for showcasing these awesome looking waters your videos been taking us! Like you I also am a multi species and bank fisherman out of necessity (can’t afford a boat), but I work for a good hotel that affords me room discount all over the states so I can’t wait to try my luck in southern Florida one day when all this madness behind us. Cheers!

Thanks Arthur, for the offer! I know this is a predominantly a crappie fishermen dormant but coming from California I can’t help but getting over excited when a fellow angler shows interest in species of fishes outside of what these landlocked ponds can dish out and “ultralight” quality at that. Tight lines!

DBD, in deed i do feel like i'm in heaven having to live only minutes from these ponds and I wasn't complaining just missing the other species I used to fish for in the Bay, which just happened to be a little "heavier" and would be challenging for these new ultralight rods Alphahawk and members been getting me hooked on. Reason why I'm experimenting with 1lb test and my XUL (noodle for us American anglers) finesse approach, only way i can expand the enjoyment of catching these ouncers, lol.
