    Default Gills in the weeds

My neighbor and I did some gills fishing.
The fish were scattered in the weeds making for some tough fishing.
We used rode runners for deep fishing and drop shot rigs shallow.
Best fish of the day went 9 inches with some nice 7-8 inchers.
    All fish were CPRName: IMG_0233.JPG

My wife and I catch a lot of gills in the weeds or pads. Fish from shore using either red wigglers or night crawler pieces. We catch a lot of smalls but the big ones are usually lurking.

used to have my own bg bedding lake where could ketch brutes most of year and especially on beds from april to september. don't have it anymore and man do I miss it! While I luv me some crappie fishing I dearly love getting into a mess o gillies! little jigging near the pads or brush and boom! or simply tossing a floating rapala near brush and watch it go.

good day for you for sure! WTG

7" plus bluegill are a blast to catch; bet you had a ball.
Yes, I was talking to myself; sometimes even I have to ask for expert advice.
