Was not having much action on lures yesterday until I started throwing a 1" 1/16 oz. Slender spoon tipped with various plastic trailers. Had previously read a article on this and have had success with this method before. I have single hooks on all my lures and the trailers have a very nice back and forth action when added to this type of spoon, which may have contributed to the strikes. The plastics have to be kept small on these small size spoons or the weight will override the spoons wobbling action. Was using 1" tubes and panfish stingers, and a trout magnet left recently on the bank by someone along with some other discarded plastics. This was mid day also so was not expecting a whole lot of action, but it saved the day from being a bust as far as catching a few fish. The last gill took a Creme angle work crawled slowly behind a BB split shot. Thanks for lookin!
