    it would seem to me they would steal a bunch of salmon eggs easily , they are great at pecking off things even on real small hooks .
    i suggest you try little tiny pcs. a hotdogs dried out a bit in the sun , way easy to find at the dollar store and you cant possibly use the entire package in one visit to the water no matter how good the bite is !

    I think if I was going to try salmon egg's on bluegill I'd probably just get two egg hooks.
