    Default Ripe for the picking----


    not the fish. Thursday was a nice day to fish but was hard finding a gill that would hit a lure. Finally, one decided to grab a Heddon teeny torpedo on the surface. The Pumpkinseeds were a bit more cooperative and landed three. The black raspberries were delish!     Well I learned something new today. Had no idea there are black raspberries, by looking at the picture I thought they were black berries. Nice fish too.

    Yum! Not the fish - the berries. Years ago I knew a guy that could make some really nice wine with them. A great dessert wine.

    How close are you to some of those lakes in Southern Cal. that have those huge gills? Have you ever considered that?

    Same here! I had never heard of black raspberries before. They do look delish! Wish they would grow down here!

    Nice lunch!
    I love to mix 1/2 blackberries and 1/2 black raspberries for a cobbler!
    I have grown black raspberries for years along with blackberries.
    Think I’ll make one thus weekend!
