A nice redbreast and a couple of 7” gills was all I could muster, and about 11 o’clock I put the rods down and went home for a sammich and some grass mowing duties. Very nice and sure glad you could get out for a few hours. Hard to tell sometimes why they are off the feed. We have a brutal hot spell (well, by our standards) the next couple of days so I’m going to try an early morning wade on the creek. It might be good or…..Just to get out for a few hours is worth it.
