    Default Slab bites /crappie nibbles

Have seen several fishing these on a bare hook for blue gills . Have any of yall tried this ? I have some that I tip a jig while crappie fishing during tough bites but never have for bream/red ear .

Yes, they will work just fine all by themselves on a bare hook or bare jig for crappie or bluegills.

I've had good luck with those for both crappie and gills.

Very true. You can make them better by dumping some out on the lid while you fishing and let them dry out a little.

As Fishfishwish said, you can toughen them up a little drying them out. When they go from mushy to rubbery they're ready.

I've never tried these either...but heck I might throw a bottle in the tackle box and give them a try next time. What are they made of? Is it kind of like a mini-catfish stink bait?
