bass are exciting fish most of the time on light tackle
its hard to beat a flying air fish losing its mind ripping drag
one i still remember to this day in the moonlight
never touched it and it was not on my line long
but it was stupid big and got great air in the moonlight

There is nothing like those air launches, and many times with U/L you just don’t get the hook set deep enough and your lure gets returned via air mail! I will take a smallie over a trout any day. Love ‘Em both, but there is something about the attitude of smallmouth.
