Default No interest in the Trout Magnet

The trusty TM was a failure today, as was a rooster tail. But I hit 20 gills, four bass, and my first ever crappie on some night crawlers at the in laws farm today. Gills were some jumping fighters, half the time I thought I had a bass. The crappie was exhilarating, no wonder there is an entire site dedicated to them!Name: IMG_7528.jpg

I am not much of a jumper myself but a hook in my mouth may be just the motivation that is need to learn aerial acrobatics

Me too. Not often but yes. Last time out they were churning up the top water and what a fight!

They don’t bite at night here, but you are correct there is something about this pond. The gills always seem to fight harder here, never had a jump before perhaps it is because they are more aggressive during spawn season.

I've seen them jump out my bucket of water and back into the pond. I didn't mind, because I know they will have an incredible
survival story to tell their Grandkids...Lol

Nice looking pond and inhabitants, good catches. Can’t beat a worm for fish bait, period.

kinda overdoing the amount of worm you have on the hook, just need enough to cover it and lil more. LOVE LOVE LOVE a farm pound with big BG's, green carp and CRAPPIE of good size.
