    Default Sunday brunch menu

Everyone seemed pleased. Size 00 1/32oz. spinner w/various added enticements. That LMB hit the fly. Gills had lots of energy today with quite a few going airborne. Before I left, tied on that little green popper just to get some topwater action. Lot of fun today. Here's some pics.Name: DSC00559.jpg

Real nice, MR. All looked great. A top water popper this early in the season sounds like a real bonus. Nothing like it to get the heart pumping.

A great trip and some very pretty fish. I was given a couple of new foam flies I’m anxious to go get wet, crackers are doing well down here.

Beautiful fish. I gotta try the top water one of these days. Seems that would be fun with the gills!

Loads of fun Without question. I have some nice size poppers I use with my 3 Wgt fly rod. The takes are so much fun to see and the pans just slam them!

    Bob,

I purchased a 3 and a 4 wgt. (both glass) to get started on before the pandemic. I have a fly shop right up the road so it is on the to do list. Just for use on pans.

Hit the same lake today and the bite was lite. Three others came in right behind me so I wasn't able to hit all areas. Tried a few split tail grubs on the spinners and caught a few way back it the shallows with a popper. Nice day to be out!Name: DSC00562.jpg

That’s the truth. LOL. Fly fishing is really addictive, and pans are so cooperative they will forgive many lousy casts that would have trout heading to Parts unknown. I love having my fly rod in the mix and some days I just want to cast it and not worry so much about catching. The 3 and 4 weights will serve you nicely, and if you hook into a nice smallie you will have a memory.
