    Default Just a few

47* and a 10mph wind when I left the house this morning. That kept me hiding from the wind and I wasn’t venturing far from the ramp. The fish weren’t committing like usual today, half of my fish came unbuttoned and a few acted nice. The dark water and their dark backs mean that you don’t see much til they break the surface. I did boat a few crappie, none over 11”. The redbreast in the pic fought good, and the bass was just over 15” and didn’t want to meet me at all. Best fight I’ve had in a long time. He had to be in the 2 lb neighborhood. The wind made casting the usual little stuff a bother so I tied on a jighead with a collar and a BGBS for the little extra weight and it behaved nicely after that. I kinda felt like Randy for a minute, the way he wrestles with those spotted bass. Done before noon and all released, I went home to stash the boat and run errands. Hope y’all had a good morning, mine wasn’t bad. Also hoping that the weather is improving for y’all and everyone got through it OK. Til next time......

Seriously, that would be warm for up here today. I went yesterday and this afternoon and spanked a few of those green ones, but mine were caught in a super cold shallow water creek. Would love to catch some of those redbreast, what a beautiful fish. Check out the difference in color of our bass and yours this time of year, I posted up on the UL part of the board. 30 degrees this afternoon with a wind chill of much less....brrr.

I love catching redbreast but the ones I catch aren’t ever as colorful as that one. Such a beautiful fish. Thanks for the post and letting us ride along.

Another great ride along, Skeet. I’m itching to go, and photos like that sure help to keep up the interest.
