A different animal, but I use the single hook trout rooster tail spinners. So much more weedless that I throw them into a lot more places than I can a treble. Hook up to land ratio no different that I can tell. A nine inch gill tries to kill it once they decide it’s dinner, they aren’t much into tasting. I would imagine that the belly spin and tail hook versions above would be significantly more weedless, I’d have to try the others before I weighed in on them.

    Skeet,
I'm with ya on the rooster tails! Here's some 1/32oz I just cut the trebles off.

The tail spin versions remind me of a ultralite Yozuri discontinued years ago that were gill killers. 1 3/8" 1/16th oz.( Alie Killifish) floating. They also had a 1/8th oz. one that was sinking(Aile Goby). They both had a belly treble and a plastic tail paddle. Really neat little lures.Name: DSC00002.jpg

I snip off two of the hooks on the treble of a rooster tail in my trout box only to make sure I’m legal on some trout streams here in Georgia. I’m considering replacing all trebles with a single hook. I use the same lures for bream so it will probably be easier to just replace all hooks to keep from making a mistake that Mr Green Jeans can write a citation. One can receive the citation even if you have a treble hook in your box.

Green Jeans is that throrough to search your box? That said, I guess our guys will check you pretty good on our heritage and top of the line trout streams, particularly if you’re fishing with spinning gear.
