You should avoid the JDM rod/reel threads.

I’ve been a Stren fan for a lot of years and like Stren Crappie a lot. I use the 2 lb and it’s characteristics suit me and the way I fish. I mostly use braid but some places and ways I fish dictate mono. Not abovelearning something new and will have to try some of the gamma. Do they make a hi vis?

I'm not a purist when it comes to line. I know some people think that 2# should break at 2.1 # and that being said I hate the american braid I've used and don't like the idea that a fish couldn't break my line riding a jet skee . But with all the line I've tried gamma and K-9 are my favorite and money is not a factor. It's limp, small daiameter and very hi-vis, tennis ball hi-vis. For casting open water I go with 2# as it will cast .5 gr. and up great and 4# when dock shooting especialy around the wood posts docks that are prevalent on my home lake. Scott

I have tried just about all the lines I can get locally and always seem to be looking for something better. I hope this stuff is as good as it sounds, I just bought a few miles of it
I'm in the same boat. I go through a lot of line. I've been using Stren Crappie mono but the small spools get annoying because it seems I always waste a good bit because there's not enough to partially spool my reels more than twice. If they'd just sell it in a 330 yard spool, I'd quit looking for something else.

    I'm gonna try some Gamma.

I’ve made up my mind to give the panfish 2lb hi viz a go. I will keep an eye out for Stren Crappie, which should be coming into stock next month in the usual places. Like others, I wish their filler spool was 330 yds.

I haven’t found the Stren crappie hi vis in any local store and several stores have the thought that if it doesn’t almost fly off the shelf, they aren’t going to order it. I’ve always bought mine on line and sometimes caught it on sale price. Spoke to my friend at a local shop that will order whatever someone wants. Said that he liked it but it just Didn’t sell. I’ll try it in 2&4 when I can get some and see what happens. I fish some pretty nasty areas for the light line.

Can someone tell me what Gamma’s shipping charges are? I couldn’t find it on their site, and they never responded to the contact message I sent. In fairness, maybe the storm threw their office routine off a bit, but I heard their customer service and response is good.
    Thanks,
    Bob

Check your jig eyes! Lost a big slab yesterday on the Gamma 2 lb. Fish on, then - nothing. Reeled in to find an intact loop knot that had slipped thru a gap somehow. This was a 1/32 oz hand-tie jig with #6 sickle hook from a CDC member I buy a lot of jigs from. I'll be checking them all today. Hated to lose that particular jig because I have caught over 10 fish with it: red head, fool's gold new age chenille, chartreuse hackle.
