Default Anybody using Trout Slayer UL?

I have seen some posts about the TCB from Leland but is anyone using the original TSS. I got it end of last year and have to say it’s the best rod I have used. I have a president 25 (the previous model) on it and cast great and is so light. Using 2lb SOS I have caught many many fish on it this year. Anybody having similar experiences?

Oh yeah. Very popular rod and reel. I have two of them myself. Here is a search with some threads on them.

Those two rods are virtually identical. The. TSS rod may or may not come back in production. I have some for use as a guest rod. The TSS is a very sensitive rod....great for cast and retrieve fishing.

Count me in on the TSS. It is a terrific rod for the money. Reminds some of a JDM in terms of action. I use mine with a President 20 and 2lb Stren Crappie. I fish it as much as my JDM LITTLE lunakia. Very satisfied and I bought a spare while they still had them. You can’t go wrong with it.

I have a president 20 as well but thought that might be too small for the rod. I will give it a try.

Just my experience and opinion with the rod, but the 20 balances nicely and holds plenty of line for pans and crappie. I like that it brings the whole outfit in pretty darn light, and my heavier rods just aren’t as much fun for me anymore after hours of wading and fishing with them.

I have one of the TSS rods and two TCB rods. All have 25 Presidents on them. As stated above my bigger rods are almost too heavy now. I do like my Sharpshooter from BnM really well too. They all are home to stay.

Do you have a link to the combo? Google is failing me today.
