Default Opinions please on plastic storage

I’ve seen some people taking their plastics and putting them in tackle trays. Should I? Or leave them in packs? I have plenty of open room in storage still on my boat so that’s not an issue. Just want to know what you all do

I put some in tackle trays in the past. Over time some of them got gummy and stuck to the tray. Probably from the heat of being stored in the car trunk. I keep them in the pack and put the packs in a folio/flip folder type soft sided case. I just flip through the "pages" to find what I need. YMMV.

I leave them in the packs and use the Plano 3731 open container to store them.

This bag is the bomb for crappie plastics storage but it is expensive. It is, however, good quality.Name: Screenshot_20201021-004521_Amazon%20Shopping.jpeg

I use a 10$ option with clear sleeves from academy. I leave the bait in the original pack and slide that down in the clear sleeve. When I start fishing I look at the water get one of the bags that contain the three colors I'm gonna try first. Get one bait of each color out and put them back up. Never had a problem.

I use the trays with a few drops of Mineral oil in each slot, works great.

For wading I use the zip locks as well with a color/lure selection. At home storage once the bag is opened I put the bag in a zip lock for double sealing. Baits stay factory fresh.

For longer lures I find zip-locks allow them to stay nice and straight. If not right out of the bag, I put them in hot water for a minute to make sure.
Doesn't matter what the lure. If there's unwanted curves, no bait works IMO. Colors also stay unstained by other colored lures in the tackle box.
