    Default Pumpkins Panfish and Persimmons

Driving to VA this past weekend the usual mountain scenery was dotted with various sized signs with peoples names on them, mostly ones I didn’t recognize but two that I did. The underlying message conveyed by the new additions to the scenery is one reflected by the flashing banner found here on this website... that is to vote! Make an informed decision and get out and exercise that American privilege. Headed up to see the grand kids we were, and of course I had an Ultralight rod loaded for action. Hurricane Delta was fast on our heels and the scene on Saturday morning-

Seriously, I own and brought a nice rain suit...and it’s called a rain suit for a reason, you don’t wear it in the sunshine. Name: IMG_8296.jpg

Finally to the Panfish you say. The wind was swirling but when it started blowing towards the deep bank I knew it would be on like Donkey Kong. Last cast of the evening produced a slab Crappie...

No great monsters or numbers were caught but I did find my intended quarry hungry and cooperative.
The Waximus from a board member here fooled many Gills and the Trout Magnet did well also. The last fish of the morning was photographed in front of this skinny tall tree with bright orange ripened fruit.

I have to give you credit, going out in that weather. I also have the rain gear but anymore it just sits in the closet. Can see you had a real good time. Thanks.

Pretty fish.....I must admit I no longer fish in the rain. Not seeing much color here yet on the tees.

Nice post! Those kiddos sure do carve a fine pumpkin! That looks like a really fun place to fish and glad you got to wear the line a bit!

Awesome pix. Looks like a good time.

Persimmons are quite tasty, when ripe. If you eat them too soon, they are very bitter.
