Took my daughter in-laws dad (retired firefighter/paramedic to our Riverbend condo 12-20th and had a great time in thought it rained every day. Fishing and casting for shrimp was slow but ate well. Love the area and people and heading back after the holidays.

Found them close to shore in 3-4 ft of water and in the shadow of brush. Fish with a cork set at 1 1/2 ft number six long shank hook tipped with 1/2 red worms. And keep it moving ever so slowly.

I spent much of my young boyhood fishing there. My Grandparents owned a small cabin on a canal right across from the Oklawaha river mouth back in the '60s. All the shoreline that was wooded back then is now wall-to-wall development now.
