DoyleAlley, In fact Riverbend Condoes are located on the Saint Johns across from the mouth of the Oklawaha. They were built around 1974 and is a fantastic place to stay !

The condos are right on the SW side of Beecher's Pt. If you go around the northern side of Beecher's Pt a few hundred yds is where the old cabin was. The manmade canal/lagoon is still there but the cabin is long gone. There was a fish camp on the river side of the lagoon that was first called Conley's (or maybe Conly's) and later called Sunset Landing. Last time I went there was back in the late '80s after I got out of the Navy.

Sounds like things have changed a lot over the years , it’s a good thing on the west of the River is state and federal forest/land so it should stay like it is. We love the area and glad we found it and bought. September trip to the Saint Johns River, Welaka area.
