Always great for a father to get time alone with a singular child. I have a son and daughter, and both like to fish. My son is older and loves to fish - will keep his concentration all day even if the bite is slow. Daughter is now 13 and still enjoys fishing to a point. She really can only take it for an hour or two at a time and then finds other things to play with and study. Started her out at about 3 also and take her brim fishing a couple of times a year. It is never going to be her thing, but she does look forward to going when we do. Started her out on the little spin cast rods and when she was five or six I switched her over to spinning.

Awesome on going back! I just usually ask the oldest and she loves being outside so she is game... she doesn’t last more than 45 minutes to an hour though and I pack plenty of snacks and let them run a good bit too :D

Be careful taking those little girls fishing. Before you know it they will get engaged to a civil engineer who likes to duck hunt and bow fish. Some of my greatest trips are with my kids. The one that took to it is my 15 year old son who usually out fishes me.
