Man, those are BRUTAL heat conditions. 109! Yikes! We have been having heat wave after heat wave here on the North East coast. It broke last night and 64 at wake up today! Too many jerks in the park or I would hit the water today. Enjoy those lunch outings, and nice catch as always!!

Yesterday it was much cooler at 104
none the less I hit the water for about 20 to 30 minutes around lunchtime and the bite was pretty darn good . I am so glad they were not really big fish as it was apparent that time frame was the limit in that sun .
big fish would have made me stay longer than what would be a healthy idea , I think I managed around 15 fish and the bite was pretty light and none were large fish .
managed a few black crappie , a few white crappie and a few bluegills
8 foot of water up under a dock in the shaded area I was pitching into .
wish there was shade there for me , but sadly enough that is not the case .

I feel you brother we going through a major heat wave as i type this, 114 to be exact. Oh nice catch btw!
