    Default Tict finesse rod specifications

I was looking for some data on some of the rods mentioned in this forum and came across this. The lure weight listed on the rod converted says it is 1/283oz to 1/8oz. My #10 wooly buggers flies weigh 1/126oz. Read in one of the stickys threads above that stated 1/250oz. Can anyone tell me what I don't see.Name: Screenshot_20200805-123244.jpg

Max 1/8 oz. My friend ultraslab has one. Very good bream and crappie rod. I have the Rockin' Power, just a tad more backbone, 1/4 oz max. No big deal since we mostly use 1/32 or 1/16 oz jigs. 1/8 oz only when real deep + windy.

I have beat it to death, caught many big fish including my PB bass, and it still works great. Ticts are tough. TICT -ティクト-

I can understand the upper range but not the lower value. The 1/283 is almost impossible. Dry flies weigh more than that. Thanks for your reply.

The lower end rating on Ajing-Mebaru rods is not a casting rating. It is the rating of the lowest weight jig you can feel the resistance of. The Tict Rockin Finesse is a Mebaru rod.

I have a Rockin' Finess -- very sweet rod. As Mr. Tek says, it's very good for crappie and gills. The lightest bait I have ever cast is a 1/64 oz trout magnet.

Jawjatek is wrong. I don't have one but 2 . My personal favorite of the 3 JDM rod's I own in casting and catching fish. The triple cross being my favorite dock shooter, have an N-one ( hope that's right major craft ) that's good not great but the ticht is FUN to fish with and have no prblems casting a 1/64 jig with 2 lb. line. In my opinion, I can do okay with 0.2 g jig head plus the tiniest microworm. It is not great at that lure weight. 0.4 g jig head plus a tiny paddle tail is quite good. Tried 1 g jig head plus a trout worm and it flies like a bullet. All with 1 lbs ester line (0.074 mm).

I am considering the Rockin Finesse to add to the stable....not sure I need it but I do hear good things all around about the Tict lineup.

Good morning s_v. Where do you get those 1/142oz jig heads from. I would like to get some. My wooly bugger flies on # 10 hooks weigh about that. Are your jigs made from fly hooks with very small brass beads? Thanks for your comment.

Thanks for your reply. That is intriguing information to an old mechanical/materials engineer. Would it be possible to get the testing procedure they use so that we custom rod builders like myself could test our rods and get comparison data for rods we and others build. Thanks.
