Is that the same rod that is included in the combo I posted?

I don't see any actions listed for their UL rods, just lengths.

The Micro ultralight is going to be slow action ,and the Micro light is going to be moderate action. What kind fish and lures you will be using ?

There is a universal objective system that measures any rod's action as well as it's power and frequency values. It is called "Common Cents System " or CCS. There are data sites that have applied this system to many blanks and rods. It measures action by quantively measuring the exact deflection angle of the loaded rod. You can then make a accurate comparison to any other rod or blanks. I have measured every rod I have ever built. The results from this testing procedure eliminates subjective opinions and deals in objective values.

Apparently I know less than I thought. I thought for small fish to have the ultimate experience you wanted an UL fast action. Am I correct that you want an UL, but the action is more related to the casting than the retrieval of the fish?

Don't overthink the purchase of a $20 rod. The UL Micro will be fine for what you want to do.

I can't tell you what action you want. If you have a rod that you like have it tested by this system and you will know what you like. You will decide what you like and CCS will tell you what you got and how to compare it objectively to other rods available. Don't be surprised to find out that there may be a $100 and $500 rods out there with about the same properties.
