Thanks slowhand, great video. I enjoyed watching those guys cutting up at the end as much as I enjoyed watching the fishing. Looks like they had a blast, that's what it's all about right there!

I have a TCB rod, but it sits in the 2 hole behind my Major Craft Finetail. I have caught a couple of small bream on the rod and a 1 lb catfish. The catfish put up a fun fight and put a nice bend into the rod. I need to fish exclusively with it one day to give a better answer as it pertains to bluegill.

I have it paired with a Pflueger Purist 25 series and generally cast 1/32 jigs with a TM...and occasionally roadrunners and spinners.

I recently bought a TCB and have been using it for a couple of trips now. It is much softer and more flexible in the first 2' or so than my BPS Microlite in light action, both are 6 1/2' nominal length. I don't like the location of the reel seat; I find it too far up from the end and the butt bumps my forearm on the cast. I'm casting sitting down in a boat and casting one handed so that may contribute to it. I will get used it but I consider it a negative.
With that said, I do like the action and strength of the rod while landing a 'gill or crappie. I can feel every movement of the jig on the bottom or bumping weeds on the retrieve; I find it to be as sensitive or even a bit more so as my panfish series St. Croix. I like the rod and am considering another. It is a fun rod to catch a fish on, plain and simple. I'm replacing a few poles that are 35+ years old and technology and materials have changed for the better.
I'm an average guy when it comes to fishing, I don't have a big budget or years of experience with the "best" brand names. Good enough works for me in most areas of my life and this $65 rod certainly fits my needs. At some point, we have to bite the bullet and just get one and try it to see how it feels to US.
Yes, I was talking to myself; sometimes even I have to ask for expert advice.

Good comments and feedback. I have the TSS and it fishes just as everyone says. I stream fish and I feel it is pretty sensitive, especially at that price point. I don’t find the butt of the rod hitting my arm when I cast, but I cast standing up and maybe if I were sitting it would be different. I recently used it for casting some smaller Rebel lures, and it did just fine. The reel is a Pflueger President 20 with 2lb Stren Crappie line. That combo balances just fine in my opinion, and all up weight is about 8.2 oz. Pretty darn good for the money. I have a spare TSS just in case, but wouldn’t be afraid to try the TCB. I’M careful getting fish out of the water, and so far so good with the tip.
